Chz Tlorthland Age The March of Progress. Publishing Twice a Week. Only Bi-weekly in the Northland. Service to the Community. Ever since its inception the “Northland A re” has striven to render service to the l tple in the Northland and from time to t in e has made improvements which rruld not fail to be of valne to those who have laboured in this remote part of the Dominion. Same months ago the “Age’ w .s presented as a twelve page weekly ’ plete with adequate and accurate rets of a'! local gatherings and thcMoings . our public men. lhe response irom settiers has been such that we have b en able to make arrangements which . i enable us to take another step for- . ard. To-day we publish the “Age” as a bi-weekly eight-page newspaper. In fefurc our subscribers will receive the ‘Age" on Wednesday and Friday each week, when it will contain in addition to rc arts of local happenings, news from abroad having brief interesting accounts of world happenings. An important feature of this progressive policy will be that each copy of the '‘Age” will be sold over the counter at twopence per copy and in cases where the paper is posted to subscribers the price will be twopence per copy with postage added. We trust with he advancement of time that the day is not far distant when the “Age” will be published as a'tri-weekly, and that it will continue to work in the interest of the advancement of the Northland and the fc> ferment of its people.
