Ever since its inception the “Northland Age” has striven to render service to the people in the Northland and from time to time has made improvements which could not fail to be of valne to those who have laboured in this remote part of the Dominion. Some months ago the “Age’ was presented as a twelve page weekly replete with adequate and accurate re. ports of all local gatherings and the do i ngs of our public men. Hie response f, /in the settlers has been such that we have been able to make arrangements w :ch will enable ns to take another step orward. To-day we publish the “Age’ as a bi-weekly, eight-page newspaper. In future our subscribers will receive ac 'Age” on Wednesday and Frida; - e :h week, when it will contain in addition to repurts of local happenings, news ti m aoroad having brief interesting aecou its of world happenings. An important: a.ure of this progressive policy wi!! be i at each copy of the “Age” will be sqid o er the counter at twopence per copy am in cases where the paper is posted to s bscribers the price will be twopence ,er copy with postage added. We trust v .th he advancement of time that the day is not far distant when the “Age” will be published as a tri-weealy, and that ic will continue to work in ihe interest of >se advancement of the Northland and tne betterment of its people.
