The Main Northern Express.

Daily Run to Auckland. Commencing Monday. Commencing on Monday next the express trains will run daily between Auckland and Opua for the summer season. . With the advent of the daily running of the expresses the folio vmg further alterations to the local services will be necessary : I'he 8.15 a.m. Okaihau-Kawa-kr.wt train will run- on Thursdays and Saturdays as well as on Mohd. ys, Wednesdays and Fridays, thus giving a connection with the e. for Auckland on five dt ys of tie week. On Tuesdays t'o t Okai.u.u service is required tc roa rtf in- e 6.25 a.m train (nib Ok iia provide a conn ic.ion with the train leaving Otiria at 8.20 aim., for I,vest >ck from Kiikohe branch to c; ich the Wednesday market at Westfield. The 8.45 a.m. Kawakawa-Opua and 9.40 a.m. Opua-Kawakawa Saturday tra.ns will be discontinued. These trains have been run by the service of the early train from Okaihau,and as this train will run later to connect w.th the express it will not be a- ailable for the Opua run. Very few passengers mad.j use of the Saturday morning trains and it is not'thought any great inconvenience will be caused by the discontinuance. There will be the 11.45 a.m. tra n from Kawakawa otv Saturdays for Opua. The present 3.15 p.m. Whangs rei-Opua train will leave Whangarei a. 325 p.m. and will run on Tuesdays, Thursdays and S/turda vs, instead of on MonWednesdays and Fridays.
