Hacked To Death
Correspondent’s Fate A Chinese Tragedy (Special to Age) Auckland Yesterday Investigations undertaken on behalf of the London Times, reveal that Mr F Basil Riley, the son of the former Archbishop of Perth and a former Rhodes scholar was hacked to death with swords by Chinese soldiers at Cheng-Chow. Riley hid gone to China on behalf of the Times to investigate the recent troubles there.
