The Licensing Bill.

Now Before Parliament. Non-Party Measure. Only Two Issues. 55% For National Prohibition. The Licensing Amendment Bill is now before the House as a non-party measure. If the Bill is passed there will be only twe issnes in future namely : National Continuance and National Prohibition. To obtain National Prohibition there must be a majority of 55% of the votes polled. The next poll will take place next election, and thereafter every six years. The Prime Minister states that members can remain till Xmas or New Year to thrash this matter out.
