Accident at Awanui.

Kerosene Lamp Overturns,

While Miss Greaves of Awanui, was filling a kerosene lamp at her home on Tuesday evening, it exploded andhericlothes caught fire. She rushed into an adjoining room where her mother and two younger children were sitting, and in their efforts to assist, their clothing also became alight. Mr Mark Penney, a visitor, by promptly getting sacks and coats, extinguished the flames audnone suffered seriously.
