Hospital X-Ray Plant
Oruru Company's Donation. Sum Of £l5O Kaitaia Company To Be Approached The question of the donation of the Drum Dairy Coy’s, donation of £l5O towards the installation of an X-ray plant at the Mangonui Hospital was mentioned at the annual meeting of suppliers on Saturday, by Mr A Wells ot Kaiaka. Mr Wells said that it would be a proper thing for the Kaitaia Dairy Coy to be approached at their annual meeting with a view to ascertaining it the shareholders would sanction a donation of a similar amount to that which had been sanctioned by the Oruru Dairy Coy. He said the Kaitaia people had never been asked straight out, and perhaps if a member of the Company were appointed to wait upon the suppliers at the annual meeting and the position put properly to them, they would do something. They were worth asking, and he moved that Mr Jno Garton be appointed to wait upon the suppliers as suggested. Mr Gardner seconded. The motion was carried unanimously. Mr Garton in thanking the meeting for asking him to wait upon. the Kaitaia Company said that in his opinion no hospital was able to function properly which did not have an X-ray plant. It would prove a big saving to the district to have One at the Mangonui Hospital.
