BASKET BALL.

A meeting of 2 delegates from each team was held at Victoria Valley on June nth. It was decided that referees and players were to abide by 1926 rules of Auckland Basket Ball Association, copies of these to be bought by the Mangonui Association for distribution of I to each club. Each team is to have its lady referee either a player or outsider who is to be prepared to referee at any time. All club colours are to be registered as soon as possible with the Association. The results of all matches played, are to be signed by both ca p tains and sent to the secretary as.soon as possible for pubbeation. Unless by special arrangement with opposing side, or weather conditions, any team failing to be present for its match loses bv default, l he next meeting of the Association will be held at Victoria Valley. Results of play for Saturday June 25th are as follows Peria 14 v. Victoria Valley 7. Victoria Valley 2t v. Kaitaia 7. Kaitaia II v. Peria 21. Mangonui—bye. Awanui 19 v. Pukepoto 13. Awanui 37 v. Manakau 7. Pukepoto 18 v. Manakau 19. Oruru 3 v. Takahue 14. United 14 v. Takahue 8. United 17 v. Oruru 5 { The Kaitaia A and B school teams were defeated by Takahue A team on Saturday at Takahue. The following is the draw for Saturday: Awanui, Oruru Kaitaia at Kaitaia Pukepoto Victoria Valiev at Pukepoto. United, Mangonui Manukau at United. Peria —bye.
