VICTORIA VALLEY SPORTS
Twenty-five members Wire present at th# general meeting of the V. V. A. S. C. held in the Valley on October 31st. Although health restrictions prevented sports being held last season the Club is determined te make a monster success of the coming carnival which will be held en Jan, 2nd instead of the autumn as hitherto. The programme, which is now in the printer’s hands, is similar 10 last year’s, prizes amounting to £jso in cash and £25 in trophies Owing to difficulty in obtaining Kahikatea, a faster chopping wood—Pukatea —will be used. We advise everybody to watch for posters. Nominations close Dec. 28th. Competitors ge t ready, Spectators make a note of the date and be there.
