AN APPEAL
Within a few weeks now we will be celebrating Christmas, the season so dear to children, and those who are devoting their lives helping to provide for children in distress are making an appeal for help. Such an appeal deserves the wholehearted support and sympathy of every Christian, for no condition of distress is better calculated to promote sympathy than the spectacle of children in want. All over the North to-day Maori children are in want, and in this issue, Miss Pol den, of the Mission House, Pukepoto, a lady who is devoting her life to noble mission work among the Natives, appeals tor books, toys and gifts of old clothing (children’s and adults) which she undertakes to distribute. We have no doubt that the people of Kaitaia and district will not let pass this chance of helping. Parcels and donations may be sent direct to Miss Polden, PukeI polo.
