STRAYING STOCK.

(To the Editor). Sir, —If members of the Town Board could bear the remarks made regarding the straying stock nuisance in Kaitaia the proverbial “something” might be done. It is certainly time and more that the Board dealt firmly with atraying horses and cattle. It is ridiculous that a town like Kaitaia should be run of the lines of a wayside village, and be a grazing ground for predatory stock. Yet it is common to see horses and cattlewandering about the streets and doing no end of damige to fences, buildings and drains. It is the Board’s business to see that the nuisance is abated and I trust It will do its duty. I am, etc., “Fed Up.” Kaitaia 25/7/25.
