THE NORTHLAND’S NEWSPAPER. Its interest is your interest. Its policy is for the district. It is out to support all properly organised district endeavours. THEREFORE—it merits your patronage. TO SUBSCRIBERS. Subscribers will greatly oblige by notifying us AT ONCE if they fail to receive their paper regularly. Published every Thursday. Subscription Rates per annum in advance 12/6 booked 15/-. ADVERTISING RATES.
Casual Advertisements on application. Births, Marriages and Deaths, 3/6. SPECIAL RATES lor standing or quarterly advertisement on application. Orders to discontinue standing advertisements must be in writing, and if discontinued at any time during the currency of a quarter, payment for the full quarter at rate charged must be made. Alterations to standing advertisements mutt be handed in NO T LATER than mid-day on Wednesdays. Casual advertisements received up to II a.m. on Thursdays. Orders for insertion of casual advertisements must 3tate number of insertions, otherwise they will be charged for until countermanded.
When no Ledger Account exists all orders for advertising or printing must be prepaid unless special arrangements are made.
The person ordering any advertisement or printing, for any purpose whatsoever, is held personally responsible forpa> ment. Cheques should be made payable to The Mangonui Newspaper Co Ltd, and crossed “Not Negotiable.” Amount of exchange (if any) must be added. If subscribers move to other places without informing publishers, and papers are sent to their former directions the subecribers are responsible. It persons pay in advance for a newspaper or quarterly advertisement they are bound to give notice to the publisher at the end of the time that they do not wish to continue it, otherwise the publisher is authorised to send it on, and the subscriber will be responsible until an express notice and payment of arrears is sent to the publisher.
Any person who receives a newspaper and makes use of it, whether he ordered it or not, is held to be a subscriber and is oharged accordingly.
Advertisements not exceeding sixteen words one shilling; three consecutive insertions, two shillings and sixpence. The quarters terminate on March 31, June 30, September 30, and December 31, but subscribers will be charged only from date of commencement of subscription. Orders to discontinue must be accompanied with full amount of subscription due, otherwise the paper will he continued and charged for
