Frozen beef 5,720 carcases „ mutton 363 „ ... „ lamb ALTERATION OF CON TRAC r HEADING. The New Zealand- Meat Producers Board has received advice from London that the heading ot the c. i. f. Contract l oims for Mutton and Lamb has now beenaltcreddrom “Australasian” to “Australian and New Zealand”. This is a matter which Mr J. S. Jessep, Vice-Chair-man of the New Zealand Meat Producers Board, took up when he was in London. The Board is also endeavouring to get the leading English newspapers, when referring to Smithfield supplies ot mutton and lamb, to quote same as “New Zealand” and "Australian” respectively, instead of “Australasian”. Considering that the supply of mutton and lamb shipped from our Dominion is considerably in excess of the Australian exports, it is only right that the word “New Zealand” should be used when referring to our exports of frozen meat.
