The Manaia Road, near Stratford, was tar-sealed three years ago, and has been tar-grouted and re-tarred only once. It is still in excellent condition.

TheOpotiki County Council is in favour of the erection of cattle-dips being a charge on the Consolidated Revenue,and on Friday Mangonui County Council decided to support a remit to that effect.

Mr. A. C. McLaren’s M.C.C. cricket eleven sails for New Zealand on September 30th. This trip is primarily to New Zealand, but matches will be played in Adelaide, Sydney and Melbourne.

Some misapprehension seems to exist in connection with the invitations to the Kaitaia Dairy Company meeting on Saturday. The invitation includes the members of the family of the supplier or shareholder. The voting for Directors will take place at the Company’s office between 10.30 a.m. and 2 p.m. sharp on the day of meeting.
