A French electrician claims to have invented a machine which will produce sleep. An electric current is passed into the body by means of tiny batteries fixed on wires and on the instep, and joined together by tiny wires. The current, it is stated, relaxes the nerves, and very quickly produces a sensation of physical ease, which is followed by sleep even in the case of persons habitually suffering from insomnia.
