On Saturday night the Northland Pictures p[esent William Farnum in a big picture of over 700 feet of film ; “Wolves of The Night.” The hero of the story, Bruce Andrews, is a mining engineer who has failed to find copper ore on his land, and turns his holdings into a A sheep ranch. His property adjoins a bonanza mine, one of the partners of which suspects the existence of rich ore on Andrews’ land, and plots to get the latter out of the way. After his marriage to the heroine Bruce goes to Chile, is imprisoned by a dynamite explosion in a mine, and becomes unbalanced in his mind. News of his death is cabled back to the States, and after being robbed and impoverished his wife marries one of the party which gets control of Bruce’s land. Alters years Andrews regains his reason, returns to the States, and finding out what has happened sets out to wreak vengeance on his betrayers. Several exciting scenes on the stock exchange and at the offices of the conspirators bring a fine story to a close, with a happy ending. There is a good supporting programme, comprising “The Jazz Bandits,” a Sunshine Comedy, “One Round Jeff Cartoon; Fox World’s and Australian News. An old stage favourite, Billie Burke, will appear on W ednesday 9th in “ The Misleading Widow.” Mrs Betty Taradine had been so scandalously extravagant that her husband had left her several years previous to the opening of the story. The unconventionality of Betty and her chum, Penelope Moon, cause consternation in the little New England village in which they live. The long lost husband turns up just after Betty has declared his death. He fails in with her game, but at the same time falls in love with her. Complications ensue, because Betty plays off against her husband the man her chum is in love with. Things generally are uncomfortable all round. Come and see how they untangle themselves, giving you a lot of fun and a charming love story into the bargain. Supports: “Fresh from the City,” a Sennett Comedy; “Catching

Oregonian Salmon,” a Burton Holmes Travels; and an American Gazette.
