The following passengers arrived at Mangonui last Thursday by the Clansman: Misses Cameron, Becker, Newman, Stubbs, Busby; Mesdames Irvine, Stephen and two children, Kunst and child, Christensen, Hall, Hynes, Nurse Ellis; Messrs Hynes, McGlashan, Bach, Miller, Blade, Smythe, Williams, Adnams, Cliffe, West, Vickers, Hall, Henderson, Boyle (2), Calwell, Brown, Day, Stephens, Robson, Valois, Levien, Logan, Dr. Hallen. ' Outward passengers: Misses McConville, Atkinson, Colvin; Mesdames Thompson, McCullough, Witaka, and Leach; Messrs West, Urlich, Duncan, Lewis, Gurr, and Williams. Inspectors Hardy and Cox,of the Auckland Education Board, are at present visiting the Far North. Mr F. H. Levien, S. M., held Court in Kaitaia on Monday. Mr C. F - Miller, the well known Kawakawa solicitor, was in Kaitaia during the week, attending the local Court sitting. An old resident of Kaitaia, Mr John Irvine, has again taken up his residence amongst us. Mr Irvine and family have been living in Mangonui for some time. Constable A. Bisset, late of Huntly, arrived in town yesterday. Mr. Bisset, succeeds Mr. Calwell in charge of the district. Mr. Miller, of Foster and Miller, arrived in Kaitaia a few days ago. Mr. Miller is engaged on important survey work in the district. Mr. C. K. Laurie, of Pukekohe, arrived yesterday, on a brief visit to the North.
