GOOD ROADS MOVEMENT.
The educative campaign entered into by the Kaitaia Chamber of Commerce in connection with the “ Good Roads Movement” will be advanced another step during the next fortnight. The Chamber has secured a Cinema Film illustrating good roads construction in the United States, and arrangements have been made with Mr. Arthur Lupton to screen - this during his forthcoming tour of the district. The film which is 1500 feet in length is a most interesting one, and should be seen by all who are interested in good roads, and a special invitation has been extended to the members of the Mangonui County Council. Later on another film will arrive shewing concrete road construction, and the working of the most up-to-date road-making and labour-saving machinery. r The following is Mr. Lupton’s itinerary for the forthcoming tourKaitaia, 22nd January; Herekino, Saturday, 25 th January; Rotokafcahi, Monday, 27th January; Whangape, Tuesday, 28th January; Ahipara, Wednesday, 29th January; Pukepoto, Thursday, 30th January; Awanui, Friday, 31st January; Kaingaroa, Saturday, Ist February; Lake Ohia, Monday, 3rd February; Taipa, Tuesday, 4th February; Mangonui, Wednesday, sth February; Oruru, Thursday, 6th February; Victoria Valley, Friday, 7th February; Kaitaia, Saturday, Bth February. In addition to the above,'which is being shown by special arrangement, Mr. Lupton has an excellent film programme and patrons can be assured -of an enjoyable movie entertainment at popular prices.
