Mr. J. C. Amos, of the Maugonui Post Office, is to he transferred to Havelook (Marlborough) and will probably deput next week.
Through pressure on our space we are compelled to hold over correspondence from Fairburn, a letter from Mr. E. M. Masters, and other matter.

Messrs. Matthews and Matthews will hold a sale at Owhatn, Herekino, on Murcli 27, on behalf of the McKenzie estate. Fat sheep, culls and hacks, broken and unbroken, are being offered. Bishop Crossley will preach at St. Audrew’s on Sunday evening at 7.30. On Monday a reception will be given to the Bishop on Mrs. O’Neill’s lawn, at 3 p.m. In the evening a confirmation service will be hold at St. Andrew’s at 7.30.

Mr. IV. J. Bray, who returned to Auckland by the Clansman last night, has not let the grass grow under his feet while in Mangonui. He haj disposed of his property at Lake Ohia to Jakop Stancich, who intends to drain and clear the property and go in for grazing. Mr. Bray has also sold the engine and machinery at the flax mill to Mr. Jas. Taylor, of Paranui, who contemplates starting a timber mill. The building is now for sale. Anyone wanting a good barn would get a bargain.
