A council meeting ol the Mangonui and Whangaroa Acclimatisation Society was held at Mangonui last Saturday. Present: Messrs. W. Wilkinson (Chairman), A. Garton, J. Garton, W. J. Harris, R. T. Wrathall, Dr. Perry and the Secretary. The only business of general interest was a motion passed to obtain 2 stags and 4 hinds out of a special fund raised for the purpose, and an arrangement made to hold a picnic at Mr. F. Adamson's on Saturday, 17th instant, to which all the members and their families interested in trout are invitud.
