(From our own Corr«spond«nt.) Harvesting is in full swing aud there are some very heavy orops. The harvest hands complain of the hot weather and all agree that it ia a dry job. The present craze north is surprise parties, and Ned sleeps with one eye open. Anyhow, these socials do good. Some meu, who have not hitherto held a record for tidyness, cannot now be surprised—you will fi nd them with clean shirts and boots laced every evening. We have a good fish yarn and a good duck yarn. Alas ! both true.
