As the day of the General Election is drawing very near it is the imperative duty of all men and women entitled to the franchise to see that their names duly appear upon the Electoral Roll just issued, and if not to lose no time in filling up an application and forwarding it to the Registrar of Electors at Kawakawa. We notice in a letter from our Kohumaru correspondent that in the late County election a great number came to vote only to find their names omitted from the roll. If', as is possibly the case, one or two of these people were entitled to vote, they have only their own apathy to thank for losing this privilege, as it is everybody’s duty to examine the rolls, whether Parliamentary or County, and not leave it until too late and then pose as injured individuals. The writs for the General Eleotion must be issued within seven days of the proclamation dissolving Parliament, and as soon as the writs are issued the supplementary roll® close. Don’t delay. See your names are on the roil. Vote when the time comes.
