A NOTABLE SUBMARINE.
The Italian submarine Delfrna is built of steel plates over an inch thick. Of cigar aliape, her length is about 78ft. and her beam about 9ft. Her displacement varies, according to tihe extent of submersion, from 95 to 107 tons. Hen- engines work by electricity from 300 aocuimiLatars. She 'has tihree screw propellers—one aft for
going ahead and astern, and two above for submersion and emersion. The turret allows of a lookout w'hen tihe boat is sunk. She has two torpedo tubes forward. Her bxygen supply only serves for tweflve Lours in summer. .
