Junior Cricket.
Victoria Valley and Northern teams met in a junior competition match at Cooper’s Beach on Friday. Victoria batted first and scored 32, to which the Northerners replied with 44 (W. Urwin 16). For Victoria E. Panther and D. White did the bowling, and the Northern trundlers were Kenworthy and H. Wagener. Owing to J. Clark falling suddenly ill, the captain of the Northern team showed an extremely sportsmanlike spirit by allowing El Panther to bat in his place, but unfortunately for the Victoria men this star B fell a victim to one of Kenworthy’s sharp and nasty bailers. The full scores will appear in next issue. Those available at time of going to press were : Victoria.—E. Panther o, A. Panther 6, D. White 2, R. Gilliland 2, H. Switzer 8, H. Thompson 5, L.
