A LACK OF LIONS.
Mr. Winston Churchill doe* not enjoy his father's luck in lions. When Lord Randolph Churchill was at Nairobi he spent a livelong night watching no fewer than five lions and lionesses disport themselves under the tree in which he was resting. But Mr. Winston Churchill travelled all the way Irom Nairobi to Fort Hall, and from Fort Hall to Embu without getting a single lion. It is no wonder that when ho got tilers he feelingly impressed on tho impressionable minds of the chief* ol tho Kiambu and Waki-kuyu tbs advantages of earning wages and Improving their stock, But though he has had this poor luck with lions, Mr. Churchill has had excellent luck with Malta. At the meeting of the Council of Government on Friday the elected and nominated members of ft Miowed quite a new cordiality to one another and the elected members a new desire to asaist in the work ot i administration in the spirit called for by Mr. Winston Churchill during his, recent visit. This ie better than sticking to St. Stephen’s.
