GOOD INTEREST.
The hero was In thd furtiiture trade, and his employer had just furnished a residence; but payment for same rot being forthcoming, and the dealer hearing that his customer had been sened with a writ, resolved to recover by similar means. So after the expiry of the usual term of service, our humorous friend was deputed to act as bailiff ; but on his arrival he found a man already in possession. Nothing daunted, he gained an entrance, and placed himself inside a feather bed. As it happened, the bcd> was the last article to be placed on top of the load. All arrangements being completed, the driver of the van was about to start, when a voice ran out from a loft : “ Remember, I’m still in possession.” So alarmed was the driver that he immediately fled, when our featherbed friend naturally took charge and drove off to his employer. Nothing further was ever heard of the incident, so the dealer not only recovered his goods, but, in addition, secured a furniture van and three horses.
