When playing it is not always advisable to move the wrist only, and to keep the elbow close to khe sides; let your position, and your hands most of all, be natural, and all strength reserved for playing. Concenj trate your attention on the keyboard the score, and pllay your best even | when practising. Cultivate the art of reading from the notes ; understand the harmony from the score. Do not have your music-stool too low, or your strength is wasted, and ber that strength of execution only comes with practice and time. Liszts, are certainly born, but models can be made. | Your chief aim should be to play , the world of Frederic Chopin ; the ’ difficulty of these is utterly eclipsed j ! by their melodic charm ; study them I well. ; i , I —— 1 m
