Mr. Grierson, School Inspector, has examined the three schools in the Kaeo district, and the results in all schools have been highly satisfactory. Mr. Chas. Nisbet, bush manager for the K.T.C., is at present in Kaeo, inspecting the various bush contracts. Mr. Pengelly, the popular manager at Whangaroa, has been removed to Kohukohu, to take charge of the mill there, Mr. Heniy Hayes, bush contractor, had the misfortune to have his shanty burnt down on Wednesday afternoon.
