Waipapakauri.

(From our own Correspondent.) There was quite a crowd gathered at Mr. Walter Bcresford’s place on Sunday, llthiustant, to celebrate the launching of his new boat, which was christened “ The Spray ” by Miss Mona, with the usual bottle—not of water, oh no! Mr. Beresford has been occupying his spare time during the last one and a half years in building this fine boat, which will carry about four tons of cargo. Great credit is due him for his energy and perseverance, and we all join in wishing him success in his venture. I am sure everyone spent a very pleasant time at Mr. Beresford’s on Sunday. I must thank the ladies for the afternoon tea which was very good and stood us in good stead on the drive home from Kaikino. November 12 th, 1906.
