A deputation from the Pharmacy Board of New Zealand* waited on the Minister for Public Health last Friday, and urged the adoption by the Government of a bill which it had prepared reforming the law affecting the sale of poisons. The bill provided for the compulsory registration of all sellers of poisou other than medical practitioners and registered chemists. Amongst other thing it setr ut that morphia

it sets out that morphia and preparations containing morphia are only to be sold where included in a prescription or by order of a medical practitioner known to the seller. The police are to see to the enforcement of the Act. The Minister said he thought the bill \erf reasonable. He recognised that some change of the law was necessary, and he hoped to effect it this session.
