Pat had been to Australia, and Mick to New York, and they met to talk about old times.
“Eh. Moike, but ye ought to go to Australv,” said Pat. “Whoi ?" asked Mipk. “Whoi, be jabers ! there’s praties there as big as pumpkins.” “Begorrah ! How div ye account for that ?” “Climate,” said Pat ; “and there’s spadgers as big as turkeys !”
“An’ how div ye account for that?’ asked Mick. “Ob, climate,” said Pat. “Well,” said Mick, “when I was in New York, I saw a building thirtyfour stories high, and there wuz no staircase or lift in ut at all.” “Bedad !” said Pat, “an’ how div yia get to th’ top av ut ?” “Climb ut !” said Mick, with a broad smile.
