Questioned as to the truth of the reported statement that bubonic plague in the pulmonary form in which it has broken out at Balmain, Sydney, is at leaßt as contagious as small-pox, Dr. Mason, Chief Health Officer, says“ Ever since the first epidemic appeared at Sydney the New Zealand health authorities have continued the inspection of passengers oommg from Australian ports.
