Parapara Bridge.

Dear Sir, —The Mangonui County Council may well declare the Parapara Bridge to be dangerous. It is quite a see-saw experience crossing this bridge, and I should think there was at least a six inch rise and fall when a horse and man cross it. Some travellers must use the road between Parapara and Mangatete, and now that the County Chairman has found out that the Parapara Bridge is unsafe (though everyone else has known this for years) perhaps there may be some attempt to repair the structure. The County Council’s responsibility does not end with a warning of danger.—l am, etc., C.T. Mangonui, 21st May, 1906.
