Burning Accident.—A sad accident happened to the eighteen-months-old sou of a native named IT. Turaki, living at Kopuru. While the mother was absent from the house for a few minutes the child had evidently played with the fire, as when the mother returned the little fellow wee a mass of flames. No time was lost in bringing the child to Dr. Eccles who did all that could be done for the little sufferer. It was found that the skin was burned off almost his entire body and he succumbed to his injury about midnight.
