ALTERATION OF ROADS. nPHE Undersigned give notice that they i intend to apply to two or more Justices of the Peaco, at a sitting to be held on WEDNESDAY, tho 30th day of July, 1873, at the Court-house, Nelson, for an order for STOPPING-UP the undermentioned ROADS, and for making others in lieu thereoff ; and further, that we have caused Burvey plans of the various lines of roads proposed to be stopped-up, substituted, aud made, together with the books of reference and estimates to be deposited with the Clerk to the Magistrates, at Nelson, and with the Constable of the district of Suburban North :— To stop-up part of a road in the district of Suburban North, running from tho line of road stopped under order of tho Magistrates, 4th September, 1856, in a south-easterly direction for a distance of 400 links, and 1,800 links to the division lino between Sections 10 and 11, and which is shown by tho pink colour on tho plan attached to this application, and to stopup a certain occupier's road in the said district, and running through the Section numbered 11, commencing at tho trunk lino of road to Nelson, and running in n south easterly direction for a distance of about 2,200 links, and terminating at a lino of road leading up to Dodson's farm, and is shown by blue colour on the plan attached to this application, and to substitute a certain other road, 50 links in width, running though the said Section numbered 11, commencing on tho trunk line of road to Nelson, and running in a southeasterly direction for a distance of about 1,900 links, and terminating at a line of road leading up to Dodson's farm, and which is shown by green colour on the plan attached to this application, and is the road now being mado by the Road Board for the district. IN compliance with a resolution of the House of Representatives, passed on the 22nd October, 1872, a BONUS is hereby offered for the encouragement of certain COLONIAL INDUSTRIES, namely :— IBON. BONUS OF £5,000. For tho production in New Zealand of 1,000 tons weight of Pig Iron, of marketable quality. Conditions. 1. The bonus not to be given for any quantity leis than 100 tons. • 2. Notice of tho intention to erect Iron Works and claim the bonus must be given to the Colonial Secretary, before 31st December, 1573. 3. The bonus must bo "claimed before tho 30th June, 1875. 4. In the event of moro than one claimant giving such notice, not moro than seven-tenths of the bonus may be claimed by the first producer ; and not more than three-tenths by tie second producer ; but if only one claimant becomes a producer on the above conditions, he may claim the whole of the bonus. 5. The Iron in respect of which any bonus is claimed will be examined by an officer to be appointed by the Government, who may require the production of bond fide accountsales of quantities not less than 100 tons weight, showing that such Iron has been sold at a fair market price as Pig Iron. STEEL. BONUS OF £1,000. For the production in New Zealand of 100 tons weight of marketable Steel from Magnetic or Titaniferous Iron Sand or Iron Ore. Conditions. 1. Notice must be given to the Colonial Secretary of the intention to claim this bonus before the 30th June, 1873. 2. The claim for payment of the bonus must be made before 30fch June, 1874. 3. The bonus will be paid to the producer who effects the first bond fide sale of the above quantity of Steel at a fair market value. SUGAB. BONUS OF £2,000. For tho production of 250 tons of Sugar manufactured from Beet-root in New Zealand. Conditions. 1. Notice of tho intention to claim this bonus must bo given to the Colonial Secretary before 31st December, 1873. 2. Claims for payment of the bonus to be sent in before 30th June, 1875. 3. The bonus will be paid to the producer who first effects a bond fide sale of the amount of Sugar specified. PAPEB. BONUS OF £2,500. For tho production of 100 tons of Printing Paper, manufactured in New Zealand, by Machinery. Conditions. 1. Notice of tho intention to claim this bonus must bo given to the Colonial Secretary before 31st January, 1873. 2. The Paper must be mado by machinery, permanently established and working in the Colony. 3. Claims for payment of the bonus must be sent in before 31st December, 1874. 4. The bonus will be paid to the producer who effects the first bond fide sale of the amount of Printing Paper specified. PISH. BONUS OF 4s. PER CWT. This bonus will be paid on Cured Fish, dry or pickled, exported from the Colony for consumption abroad. Conditions. 1. The bonus will be paid to the producer on the production of account-sales, showing that the Fish has been sold out of the Colony for fair market value. 2. The exporter to enter into a bond not to reland in the Colony any Fish on which a bonus has been paid. 3. The bonus may be claimed on all Fish exported I between Ist November, 1872, and tbe Ist of August, 1873, and is to be paid out of any moneys appropriated by Parliament for the purpose. The above rewards will be paid on the certificate of an officer appointed by Government that the conditions applicable to each reward have been complied with. . 3036 John Hah,
