To open a road in the Upper Moutere district, coloured pink on the plan attached to this application, and described as follows, viz. : — That portion of a road proceeding from the public road lying between Sections No. 136 and No. 134, Square &; the southern boundary-line of the new road commencing at a point 4 chains from the north-west corner of Section No. 134, and crossing the said Section to a point on its western boundary-line, 1 chain 10 links from the north-west corner of the same Section, there meeting a public road lying between Sections No. 133 and No. 134, and cutting off from Section No. 134 a triangular piece of road, to be used aa the road intended to be opened. To stop up part of a road in the district of the Wai-iti Hills, coloured blue on the plan attached to this application, and described as follows, viz. : — That portion of the road, 1 chain in width, dividing Sections Nos. 24 and 25, on Square 4, of the plan of the Province of Nelson, commencing at the trunk-line of road, and running eastward 250 links ; and thence southward 1,400 links. And to substitute, in the place thereof, a certain other road, 1 chain wide, coloured pink on the plan attached to this application, and described as follows, viz. ; — That portion of a road commencing from the aforesaid trunk-line of road, at a point 1,750 links to the north-eastward of the road required to be stopped up, and running in a southerly direction through Section No. 24, on Square 4, for a distance of 30 chains, or until it reaches the road dividing Sections 24 and 25 on the said Square. And to substitute in the place thereof a certain other road, forty feet wide, coloured pink on the plan attached to this application, and described as , follows, viz. : — That portion of a road, commencing at a point about three chains to the eastward of the commencing point above mentioned, and running for about ten chains in a northerly direction, proceeding thence in an easterly direction for about forty chains to about the south-east corner of Section No. 14, to meet the new line of road set out through Section No. 32. To stop up part of a road in Beckman's Valley, coloured blue on the plan attached to this application, and described as follows, viz. : — That portion of a road, lying through Sections Nos. 39 and 40, commencing on the southern boun-dary-line of Section No. 39, about 2 chains from the south-west corner, and running in a northerly direction through Sections 39 and 40 for about 25 chains, to a point on the northern boundary-line of Section No. 40, about 3 chains from the eastern corner. And to substitute in the place thereof a certain other road, 40 feet wide, coloured pink on the plan attached to this application, and described as follows, viz. : — That portion of a road, lying partly in Section No. 39, and partly in Section No. 40, commencing at a point on the southern boundary-line of Section No. 39, about 2 chains from the south-west corner, and running through Sections 39 and 40 for about 25 chains, to a point on the northern boundary-line of Section No. 40, about 5 chains from the eastern corner. To open a road iv the Aorere District, one chain wide, coloured pink on the plan attached to this application, and described as follows, viz. : — That portion of a road proceeding from the public road, lying between Sections Nos. 21 and 22 on the one side, and 23 and 24 on the other side, Square 15, commencing where the said public road strikes the River Aorere, and following the bank downwards for the full length of Section No. 23 ; the general direction being eastward, and the length about thirty-five chains, viz., about one and three-quurter chains through Native Reserve G; about seven and threequarter chains through Section No. 23 ; about eleven chains through Native Reserve E ; and the remainder through Section No. 23.
