The Cabinet is of Spanish Mahogany, fitted with twenty-Bix Drawers, two Writing-desk*, two Drawing Boards, &c. ; and is of perfectly unique character. Dimensions — 3 feet 3 inches by 5 feet 9 inches. Tho Cabinet would admirably suit the requirements of a collector of specimens of Natural History, several of the drawers being fitted with double bottoms, and the whole of the best workmanship. The original cost of the Cabinet was above One Hundred Guineas, It may be seen at the Auction Store of C. Eimott, Trafalgar-street, where names of Subscribers will be received. STANTON, Sole Agent. 1802 Notices* ALTERATION OF ROADS. rPHE undersigned hereby give notice that JL they intend to APPLY to two or more Justices of the Peace, at the sitting to be held on FRIDAY, 28th day of January, 1870, at the Court House, Nelson, for STOPPING UP, DIVERTING, and OPENING the undermentioned ROADS ; and further, that they will cause Survey Plans of the several Roads proposed to be stopped up, substituted, and opened, together with Books of Reference and Estimates, to be deposited with the Clerk to the Magistrates at Nelson, and with the Constables of the several districts in which the said Roads are situated, or with the Constables nearest to these districts. 1. To stop up part of a road in the Upper Moutere district, coloured blue on the plan attached to this application, and described as follows, viz. : — That portion of a road lying between Sections No. 125 and 87, commencing at a point about eleven chains from the north-west corner of the latter Section, and proceeding in a south-easterly direction for about six chains.
