ERRATA.
In our telegraphic news on Saturday last, it was erroneously stated that, in the debute on Mr. M'Lean's resolutions, Mr. Travers had said he regretted he had voted to turn out Mr. Stafford, and in doing so had taken a leap in the dark. For " Mr. Travers," read " Mr. Kerr," one of the Auckland members, a gentleman who resided for BOiiie time in Nelson. Mr. M. Lightband has, in the Evening Mail, corrected our error, by showing that Mr. Travers did not vote on the " want-of-confidence" motion, for which we beg he will accept our thanks. Mr. Lightband, in his letter to our evening contemporary, appeared to think he had convicted the Examiner of a very heinous crime, because we had supplied an omission in our telegram, and inserted the wrong name. Mr. Lightband having succeeded in proving an alibi on behalf of Mr. Travers, called ourselves and the Colonist to account for publishing what he termed " sensational telegrams." We do not understand the ground? of Mr. Lightband's complaint. Telegrams are always made up of the more piquant articles of news, and we cannot, in deference to the feelings of Mr. Lightband, withhold these from our readers.
