Weight and Co.'s PURE COAL-TAR SOAP prevents the hair from turning prematurely grey. All ordinary soap 3 destroy the colour of the hair more or less ; but the Sajw Carbonis Detergens does not produce this effect, partly because it contains a very small proportion of alkali, and partly because of the peculiar nature of the alkali, and the special form and combination in which it exists. W. V. Wmgkt and Co.'s PURE COAL-TAR SOAP, from the small quantity of alkali which it contains, as well as from the compression to which it is subjected, does nofc soften or waste in water like other soaps, and will be, therefore, found most economical in use. W. V. Weight and Co's PIJRE COAL-TAR SOAP is a specific against the bite of reptiles, the sting of insects, &c, &c, and is an invaluable article in hot climates. W. V. Weight and Co.'s PURE COAL-TAR SOAP is most highly spoken of by the Press. The following is from the Lancet, December 22, 1866 : — 51 In our hands it has been a most effective agent in the case of various skin diseases, especially of the chronic eczematous clu^s ; and one case of psoriasis, which had resisted all other kinds of treatment, speedily got well under the application of the liquor carbonis detergens. We esteem it a very valuable addition to our list of skin remedies, and worthy of a very extended trial by tho profession.
