Lecture by the Bishop. — The lecture " On England, in 1867," to be delivered this evening, in the Provincial Hall, by his Lordship the Bishop, will, we are sure, prove highly attractive, and bring together a large uudience. The subject will, we expect, be popularly treated, and be highly interesting. Richmond Fair. — The quarterly cattle fair at Richmond takes place to-morrow, and we shall expect to ccc all fat stock find ready purchasers. Provincial Champion Pbize Firing. — The firing for the Provincial Champion Prize takes place to-day, at the Matui butts. The competition is limited to the three Volunteers who made the highest scores in each company in the late provincial prize firing, and to those who have previously won Provincial Government prizes. Nathan Juvenile Thoupe. — The programme at the Odd-Fellows' Hall last evening was a very attractive one, consisting of the Irish Tutor, Quiet Lodgings, and Codadad. We only witnessed the latter piece, which was performed with great spirit, and took amazingly with the audience. On Thursday evening, which will be the last night of the company, Little Marion Nathan takes her benefit, and we hope to see a good house. Railway to the West Coast. — We learn from the Westport papers that Mr. Wrigg, the engineer employed by the Government to make a preliminary survey of the line of the proposed railway from Nelson to 'Westport and Cobden, had reached the former place, and was about to proceed to Cobden by way of the Inangahua and Mawhera-iti. Mr. Wrigg is, we fancy, the first person who lies taken horses through the whole length of the Buller valley. Art Union. — The drawing for the prizes in Mr. Davis's Art Union is advertised to take place tomorrow. The prizes to be awarded will be valuable, and every subscriber will receive tho full worth of hu contribution.
