[Before John Poynter, Esq., Resident Magistrate.] Goodman v. Beauchamp. Action to recover £51 14s. 2d. This case Btood over from the 7th k»3tant, for further evidence, a-id was arranged, by consent of both parties, for a judgment to be given for plaintiff for £5 and costs, and the property the subject of the action to be given back to plaintiff. Askew v. Gwillim. Action to recover £17 195. 2d. This case was also an adjourned one from February last, and which meanwhile had been referred to the Clerk of the Court to compute, &c. A set-off of £10 12s. 6d. was put in, and judgment given finally for plaintiff, for £4 14s. 6d. and costs. Rankin v. Green. For £o. This was to recover for the use of a horse lent defendant, and which plaintiff stated he lent at the usual rate of 103. per day for ten days. Defendant admitted having had the horse, but stated that the plaintiff lent the horse gratis, otherwise he would have returned it before, as it was several days doing nothing turned out up the country. Judgment for plaintiff, for £2 10s. and costs. Andrews v. Bush. For £14 6s. Bd. This case was an adjourned one, and, since the adjournment, defendant had paid £5 on account. Judgment for plaintiff, for the balauce. Phillips v. Wall. For £1 16s. 5d- Defendant admitted all but one item, and produced a set-off, showing a balance due to him of Bs. 7d. After hearing evidence on both sides, judgment for plaintiff, for £1 7s. lOd. and costs.
