Correspondence, TO THE EDITOB OP THE " NELSON EXAMINEB."

Sia — The letter of your correspondent, who stylos himself "Also an Elector," though uncourteous enough in all conscience, is, I am also inclined to think, utterly defective both in point ar> I argument. According to him, neither Riwaka nor Moutere possesses a member in its interest. This, I admit, is virtually the case, especially as regards the latter district, which, although possessing a constituency numbering more than seventy electors, is, to all intents and purposes, not represented. Nor can it be denied that the want of experience in conducting an election on the one part, and the industry and electioneering tactics of " Also an Elector " and his party on the other, alone produced the result so much boasted of.

The communication headed " From our Correspondent," in your paper of the 14th ultimo, indulges in a grandiloquent yet one-sided strain upon the same subject. All that I can, however, learn from it is, that one may assume that a new light has dawned upon Motueka — that the qualifications of birth and education, hitherto not appreciated in your correspondent's neighbourhood, are sure in future to have the preference.
