RICHMOND.
James Millar, schoolmaster, "Waimea-east, was summoned before the magistrates at Richmond, charged with having indecently assaulted Marianne Pickering.
The complainant and her mother gave evidence in support of the charge, which the defendant denied.
The Bench then committed the defendant for trial ; but bail was taken, for himself in the sum of £200, and two sureties in the sum of .£IOO each.
[We are informed that the bail having refused to be any longer answerable for the appearance of Millar, he has been taken into custody, and is now in tbe Nelson Gaol.]
