WHEREAS a WRIT, under the hand of his Honor JonN Percy Robinson, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Nelson, bearing date the Sixteenth day of December instant, has been directed to me, John Poynter, Esquire, Resident Magistrate and Principal Returning Officer for the province, requiring and commanding me to cause to be elected, by and from amongst the voters duly qualified for that purpose, freely and indifferently and in manner and form by law prescribed, one person to serve as MEMBER in such Council for the District of MASSACRE BAY, in the place of the said John Pei ry Robinson : Now therefore I, tlie said John Poyntcr, do hereby, in pursuance of the said \Yrit, give notice that I appoint MONDAY, the Fifth day of January next, at Noon, at the School-house, MoTUPin, for the NOMINATION tcyfcake place.
