WHEREAS a WRIT, under the hand of his Honor Jo£n Pebbx Robinson, Esquire, Superintendent of thi Province o£ Nelson, bearing ! date the Sixteenth day of December instant, has been ■ directed to me, John Poynter, Esquire, Resident Magistrate and Principal Returning Officer for the ' province, requiring and commanding me to canse to be elected, by and fitom amongst the voters duly qualified for that purpose, freely and indifferently ■ and in manner and form by law prescribed, one person to serve as MEMBER in such Council for the District of MASSACBE BAY, in the place of the said John Perry Robinson: Now therefore I, the paid John Poynter, do hereby, ' in pursuance of the said Writ, give notice that I appoint MONDAY, the Fifth day of January next, at Noon, at the School-house, Motupipi, for the - NOMINATION to take place. ' lITHEREAS GeorgeXeslie Lee has resigned f V his seat in the Provincial Council for the above district, and the seat has thereby become vacant ; and whereas a Writ, under the hand of his Honor John Perby Robinson, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Nelson, bearing date the Sixteenth day of December instant, has been directed to me, John Poynter, Esq., Resident Magistrate and Principal Returning Officer for the Province of Nelson, requiring and commanding me to cause to be elected, by and from amongst the voters duly qualified for that purpose, freely and indifferently and in manner and form by law prescribed, one person to serve as MEMBER in the Provincial Council for the said district : Now therefore I, the said John Poynter, do hereby, in pursuance of the said Writ, give notice that I appoint MONDAY, the 26th January next, at noon, at Mr. Edwabd Jollies house, Amuri, for the NOMINATION to take place.
