WHEREAS a WRIT, under the hand of his Honor Jo£n Pebbx Robinson, Esquire, Superintendent of thi Province o£ Nelson, bearing ! date the Sixteenth day of December instant, has been ■ directed to me, John Poynter, Esquire, Resident Magistrate and Principal Returning Officer for the ' province, requiring and commanding me to canse to be elected, by and fitom amongst the voters duly qualified for that purpose, freely and indifferently ■ and in manner and form by law prescribed, one person to serve as MEMBER in such Council for the District of MASSACBE BAY, in the place of the said John Perry Robinson: Now therefore I, the paid John Poynter, do hereby, ' in pursuance of the said Writ, give notice that I appoint MONDAY, the Fifth day of January next, at Noon, at the School-house, Motupipi, for the - NOMINATION to take place.
