TRUST FUNDS ELECTION.
The nomination of Trustees and Auditor under the Nelson Trust Funds Act took place in the Court Hoiibe, yesterday. The late umori of the week prevents our publishing tl.e speeches delivered on the occasion, and we can only give the names of the candidates Vrop<>&ed, and the portion in which they relttively Binod on a show of hands: — Mr. Sclandern, Dr. Monro, Mr. Elliott, Mr. Wells, Mr. Fell, Mr. Picard, Mr. TraverH. Mr. Saxton, Mr. Barmcoat. Mr. I. M. H.il, Mr. Cautley, Mr. Wither, Mr. Bush. Mr. Batey. The choice of the meeting fell on the six Brat- named gentlemen, and the seventh was undetermined, as Mr. Travers and Mr. Saxton had equal numbers. A poll was demanded on behalf of the other candidates, and the election will take place on the Ist of January. For Auditors, the show of hands was in favour of Mr. Daniell and Mr. Seymour ; but | Mr. Sharp, Mr. Edwards, Mr. Ridings, Mr. Galloway, and Mr. Outridge, were also nominated, and for these gentlemen a poll was demanded.
