To the Committee of the Nelson School Society.
Gentlemen — Having received an appointment from you to inspect the schools in connexion with the Nelson School Society, we hasten to furnish you with the detaUVof the inspection, which we have only this day completed. As this has been the first regular inspection of all the schools, the committee will admit that we cannot speak as to the progress of improvement by comparative examination. We shall endeavour, with as much brevity as possible, to place before you the actual state of matters as we found them.
