"TO^HEREAS, by a Proclamation in the * * Govtrnment Gazette, dated the fourth pday of October, one thousand eight hundred and fifty-four, it was appointed that the Provincial Council should meet for the despatch of business, at Nelson, on Tuesday, tne fourteenth day of November instant: And whereas- it is expedient that the said Council should be prorogued until Thursday, the 23d November instant : Now therefore I, the Superintendent of Nelson, in virtue of the powers and authority vested in me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that I have this day prorogued the Provincial Council until Thursday, the Twenty-third day of November instant, at twelve o'clock at nooD. Given under my hand, and issued under the Public Seal of the Province, at Nelson, this seventh day of November, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty- four. E. W.
