It will be seen by the advertisement that s )me alterations have been made from what ye stated last week would be the manner of conducting the forthcoming Festival. A good tea with abundance of cake is to be provided for the women and children instead of dinner, and it is thought by this division t'.ie arrangements for the accommodation of ail can be better made. Thursday, the 13th, has been fixed as the day, though many v rere desirous that it should have come off a week earlier. We rather regret that our ' friends in the Waimea have resolved to hold a! separate festival there, though it will be cuone solely wiih a view to the convenience cjf the residents, many of whom it was i'««ired would be unable to come into town, and thus be deprived of all participation in tlie enjoyment. We would rather, had it been possible, have seen the whole settlement brought together on this joyful occasion, but we wish them as much pleasure as ye anticipate for ourselves.
