The Star of China, left Sydney for Wellington and Nelson on the llth of October, acd.may therefore, be expected here in a few days. Besides a large general cargo, she had on board 200 sheep. The schooner Ariel, is advertised to leave Sydney for Wellington in a few days. An advertisement appears in the Sydney Herald of the 19th of October for a vessel to convey cattle to New Zealand.

Intelligence had reached Sydney that H.M.S. North Star had struck on a sunken, reef between Tongataboo and the Harpies, and had carried away her false keel and part of her fore foot. It was expected she, would return to Sydney, to be repaired.
